Field Trips

Star Eco Station is a non-profit environmental education and exotic wildlife rescue center dedicated to the mission of Preservation Through Education. During their visit to Star Eco Station, our campers will experience incredible hands-on lessons in ecology and environmental preservation, as well as experience breathtaking encounters with exotic reptiles, diverse ocean life, beautiful tropical birds, rescued wildcats and other endangered animals in a tropical jungle setting. It is our hope that through education in their formative years, we can help our next generation of citizens have compassion and empathy for the natural world, as well as an understanding of the environmental impact of their choices, inspiring sustainable and responsible behaviors and a sense of stewardship for our planet.

Bringing new meaning to the term “Climbing the Walls!”  Rockcreation is LA’s premier indoor climbing gym.  Their experienced instructors will teach our campers how to climb in a controlled, safe environment.  With over two hours of instruction, climb time and games such as wall tag &vertical capture the flag, campers will learn a new skill, get a work out and have great time as they challenge the limits of what they thought they could or couldn’t do!  Great fun (and totally safe)!

LA Connection Comedy Theatre is one of Southern California’s top comedy and improv clubs.  Our campers will enjoy an age-appropriate comedic improv show, complete with audience participation, then be treated to an interactive workshop with the performers, who will teach and lead them in the improv games and techniques they just saw on stage.  Improv is a great way to gain confidence, develop camaraderie and delight in the gift of humor.

What better way to close out the summer with a trip to the beach?  The sand, the sea, a little sunshine and a whole lotta fun.  We’ll set up our towels & gear on the beach in Santa Monica and soak up as much summer fun as possible before its time to go back to school.   We’ll play beach games, build sand sculptures, run some relay races & obstacle courses and have a blast.  Campers will be WELL-SUPERVISED with SAFETY remaining our top priority.  Parents will have the option in advance to give permission for their child(ren) to enter the water or not and are welcome to ask us a thousand questions before hand.
