Open to teens entering 10th grade and up, our CIT (Counselors In Training) program is perfect for teens looking to dive head-first into an action packed summer of fun, learning and personal development.  CITs will embark on a transformative journey of learning, growth and maturation as they take the next step on the Super Duper path towards becoming a camp counselor.

The SDAC CIT program will challenge our teens to learn, grow, and develop new skills, while they forge new friendships and bonds and discover just how amazing they can be.  It is sure to be a fun and magical journey they will remember for a lifetime.

In addition to the invaluable personal growth that the CIT experience is sure to inspire, teens will also gain valuable work experience preparing them for paid employment in the near future, as well as receive credit for their work experience programs at school.

And…. Teens who have gone through our CIT program and are entering 12th grade or older, qualify to apply for PAID employment as a Super Duper Arts Camp Junior Counselor!

CITs help both campers and counselors in going about their day of learning and having fun, while getting valuable “on the job training” on how to be a responsible and pro-active leader.

After an initial training, CITs will jump right into working alongside SDAC’s experienced and trained counselors,  and will have ongoing instruction and training throughout the summer, as well as get to participate in some of our camp activities and trips.

The CIT Program Includes:

*While experience working or volunteering with children, or past participation in a camp experience are a consideration in the selection process, they are NOT required.  A CIT candidate with no experience or camp history who shows maturity and a willingness to learn and grow has  just as good of a chance of being selected as a candidate with camp experience.
